The end of Saturday and not much done. Mainly because we changed our internet service provider and I have been making all of the email changes plus learning how the new PVR works. Fun but you may note that the email is missing from the contact section. Not sure why but while I try to fix it here is my new email sjromphf@telus.net. Now I am going to work on finishing another of the mid sized felted satchel bags and paint some letters for a friend who has a new baby. Tomorrow it will be small fusion bags...... Can I be retired!!!!!
Cheers.
I started making bags in the fall of 2010 as a way to balance my life. My day job is as a registered nurse and while I love nursing, the creative process of working with these bags and other art balances the work of nursing. I use 100% wool, and silk as well as what I like to call "funny fibers" like polyester and nylon, which create interesting textures. Most of my bags are lined with silk or polyester to create a great finish and allow for pockets.

How do 3 days go so fast!!
Well Sunday already the sunny weather had me out in the garden so not as much studio time. I did spend time yesterday using up small fusion pieces to create thank you cards. No pics yet but will post some later today.
So an interesting story from Friday night. We have a favourite restaurant in town Blighys Bistro. Have gone there for the 16 years it has been in operation. Sometime in Nov when we there one of favorite servers A. loved the felted bag I had with me. She ordered one in autumn colours no rush!! So on Friday went for dinner and I brought the bag. R. owner of the restaurant loved it so A. said look you have this one and Susan can make me another. I agreed so A. now wants one in blue colours so I have started a lovely shade of turquoise bag for her. Great way to market my work is to take it with me out on the town.
Well back to the cards and cutting out some bag pieces today. Its super bowl so will get some serious knitting done too.
Pictures to be posted later today.
