Hey there! Welcome to my new blog, Mag Bags Etc by Susan. I'm Susan, and I am the artist behind Mag Bags. I create customized fibre art bags, jewellery and so much more. I will work with you to design the bag you've always wanted, and can customize just about anything you like. I also have alot of bags in stock to choose from. I love fiber - from quilting to knitting, felting and silk fusion, fiber is an amazing medium to create with.

I started making bags in the fall of 2010 as a way to balance my life. My day job is as a registered nurse and while I love nursing, the creative process of working with these bags and other art balances the work of nursing.

I use 100% wool, and silk as well as what I like to call "funny fibers" like polyester and nylon, which create interesting textures. Most of my bags are lined with silk or polyester to create a great finish and allow for pockets. You know you can't have a bag without a pocket for your cell phone and keys!!!
